My Approach

  • As humans, we need connection to thrive. Looking deeper at your relationships can allow you to gain awareness about the patterns we find ourselves in when we’re with others, as well as the relationship you have with yourself. My work is informed by attachment theory and other relational theories.

  • Trauma often lives in the body, showing up as feelings of disconnection, pain, or a sense of unsafety. We often think of trauma as major events in our lives but we don’t realize that the core experiences we have growing up can also impact us in such profound ways. Childhood wounds that stem from smaller, repetitive ruptures in connection with our parental figures can have a significant impact on how we view the world today. I believe it is important for us to be mindful of the influence that trauma can have on our emotions, thoughts, behaviors, bodies, and well-being.

  • We all have different sides to us, whether they’re parts we are proud of or parts we feel ashamed of and hide away from the outside world. My work involves helping you stand from a place of curiosity and get in touch with all parts of yourself. I enjoy incorporating parts-work in our sessions in order to allow space for understanding, self-compassion, and confidence in your ability to handle all of life’s challenges.

  • No matter who you are or where you are in your life, you belong. As your therapist, I provide a space where you are able to be your authentic self. My work is identity-affirming and mindful of how social systems and power dynamics play a role in our belief systems.
